ACEC Bestows Diamond Award at its 2017 Gala

May 31, 2017 — Dallas, TX — Revere Smelting and Refining Corporation — RSR — one of America’s leading lead smelting and lead battery recycling companies, today announced it received the prestigious American Council of Engineering Companies of New York — ACEC — Diamond Award for Engineering Excellence. The honor was presented to RSR at the ACEC Awards Gala in New York on April 1, 2017.

Finn, RSR Corporation’s President and CEO. “This award is a credit to our hard-working employees and a reflection of our commitment to the environment and extraordinary stewardship of our manufacturing operations.  RSR has made a commitment to go beyond what is required by regulation in order to push the envelope of technology and advance our industry toward full adoption of cleaner and more sustainable business practices,” Finn concluded.

The ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards are presented for projects that encompass both the public and private sector in a number of categories. RSR was selected as this year’s award winner for outstanding work on industrial and manufacturing processes and facilities. With over 60 applicants, projects were judged against a rigorous set of criteria by a panel of industry experts including military and government officials, ACEC National and International leadership, educators from college and university engineering departments and others.

RSR believes the battery recycling industry bears a moral obligation to implement controls and standards that reflect the best possible air pollution control technologies currently available. The use of innovative technology is key to improving the environment, creating green jobs, and differentiating RSR as one of the cleanest lead battery recycling companies in the world.
